• CatdusaDMX RJ45 to 5 pin XLR Breakout Box
• The Whirlwind CatdusaDMX uses five pin XLR connectors instead of 3 pin to provide a dedicated way to use Cat5 or Cat6 Ethernet cable for transmitting DMX lighting control. Plug a CatdusaDMX box onto each end of a cable terminated with RJ45 connectors and use 5 pin DMX cables to connect to equipment. Pins 4 and 5 of the XLR connectors are not wired, so four universes are possible and conversion from 5 pin to 3 pin can be achieved by using a standard Catdusa box at one end.
• There are four circuits on the CatdusaDMX box, using the four twisted pairs of the Cat cable. Each circuit has male and female 5 pin XLR connectors allowing for easy bidirectional signal configurations. Two RJ45 jacks wired in parallel are provided for daisy-chaining applications.
