Overview

Styled in black, the Shure MXW6X/O is an omnidirectional boundary microphone designed for use with the MXWAPXD2 Access Point Transceiver (available separately) as part of the MXW neXt 2 wireless conferencing system for classrooms, conference spaces, presentations, and events. The MXW neXt 2 is an expandable two-channel hybrid system with a wealth of connectivity options that allow for a mixture of local and remote participants. The system is quick and easy to set up and features a host of built-in DSP functions that provide clear, intelligible audio.

A Low-Profile Wireless Solution

• The compact, low-profile microphone offers flexible placement options on conference tables, desktops, and lecterns for single or multiple speakers.
• The sleek, unobtrusive form factor stays out of the way of panelists and presenters, making it a smart solution for video conferencing.
• Customize the muting behavior per application, with options including push-to-talk, push-to-mute, or push on/off functioning.
• LCD information screen displays battery time remaining, room assignment, and more.
• MXW neXt 2 transmitters can be remotely muted/unmuted by the room control system.
• Always-on AES-256 encryption provides enhanced privacy for meeting audio.
• A 3.5mm earphone jack allows the user to listen to translation, cueing, or program audio.

Clear Sound with 360° Omnidirectional Pickup

• The condenser microphone is optimized for crisp, clear, and intelligible speech.
• The mic's forgiving omnidirectional pickup pattern captures sound in a 360° pattern all around the microphone, allowing more than one person to easily use a single mic.
• Users in need of more focused pickup pattern better suited to a single user can purchase the MXW6X/C instead, which features a cardioid microphone capsule.

Smart Powering

• The included SB906 smart lithium battery pack delivers up to 17 hours of continuous use and recharges quickly.
• The power switch can be defeated to prevent accidental powering off.
• A convenient out-of-range alert reminds the user to return the transmitter to the charging station (available separately).
