Overview

The RF Venue Spectrum Recorder functions as a self-contained data recording apparatus tailored for the supervision and enhancement of wireless microphone and in-ear monitor systems. Its primary role involves continual capture of RF spectrum activity within the 400-700 MHz band, generating CSV-formatted scan files stored internally. These files, marked with timestamps, are retrievable via USB thumb drive or accessible through a local network connection.

The device can be directly linked to a wireless microphone antenna system or utilize the provided whip antenna for spectrum capture during site surveys. Its Power over Ethernet (PoE) compatibility and battery preparedness ensure adaptability for remote shipment or deployment across multiple locations within fixed installations due to its compactness and portability.

Captured data from the Spectrum Recorder can be utilized in RF Venue's Wireless System Builder tool for system design and frequency coordination or seamlessly integrated into third-party software like Shure® Wireless Workbench and Audio-Technica® Wireless Manager. No additional software installation or cloud subscription is necessary.

Features

  • Automatic Spectrum Recording: Instant and continuous spectrum activity capture within the 400-700 MHz range without the need for complex testing equipment.
  • 24-Hour Scan Data Capture: Provides a comprehensive overview of spectrum activity over a day, automatically calculating Max Hold and Average scan views.
  • Active Frequencies Scan: Distinguishes fixed transmitters, such as DTV stations, from unexpected interference sources, compiling hard-to-detect frequencies to safeguard wireless systems against interference.
  • Power Over Ethernet (PoE) Capable: Enables deployment across multiple locations using only an Ethernet connection, facilitating coverage across various rooms, buildings, or studios.
  • Battery Power Ready: Supports external power sources via a 5V USB-C DC power input, allowing the device to function for several days using a 10,000 mAh battery.
  • No Software Installation, No Subscription Fees: Does not rely on external services or necessitate on-site software installation. IT professionals can assign a fixed IP address using the device's MAC address if needed.
  • Updates and Upgrades: Promises ongoing enhancements and new functionalities for the Spectrum Recorder to become the central repository for RF spectrum data.
