Overview:

Take your tone further in stereo with the Radial Engineering SGI Stereo Instrument Line Driver System, an extension of the existing SGI family that provides balanced stereo audio transmission up to 300' without noise. This system consists of an active transmitter and passive receiver, which offer Hi-Z connectivity and distribute audio from one module to other via RJ45 EtherCON.

Radial Engineering SGI Stereo Active Instrument Line Driver Transmitter

Taking Radial Engineering's SGI system and enhancing it with a two-channel design, the SGI Stereo TX is the transmitter module of the SGI Stereo system, providing stereo line driving for guitar pedals, pedalboards, and amp modelers. With the ability to send balanced stereo signals up to 300' without loss or noise, this line driver is an ideal tool for stage or studio performances.

The SGI Stereo TX is loaded with premium Jensen transformers to ensure high-quality sound and a natural tone for off-stage amps and processors. The unit sports two 1/4" Hi-Z inputs for stereo input (such as stereo FX pedals or keyboards), stereo Hi-Z thruputs for feeding unbalanced signals to local amps and DI boxes, and a locking RJ45 EtherCON output that delivers balanced analog audio. The Stereo SGI TX supports 9 to 18 VDC power input and includes a 15V power supply.

Using the SGI Stereo in the Studio

The SGI Stereo is the perfect interface for studio recording. Now, you can sit in the control room and play guitar and actually hear what is coming through the monitors while you play. Simply connect your guitar or pedalboard via two 1/4” instrument cables to the TX, run a single standard Cat 5 Ethernet cable to the RX, and crank to your heart’s content.

Using the SGI Stereo on Stage

The SGI Stereo is a ready-made solution for large stages where high-impedance guitar signals are often affected by the capacitance of long cables or noise due to lighting systems. The SGI Stereo balances the signal from your pedalboard and delivers it without noise. Perfect for isolation cabinets, under stage amps, or remote quiet rooms.

A Solution to Complex Routing Systems

The SGI Stereo system is a wonderful tool for helping manage complex setups on stage. You can also use an original SGI to route the signal from a wireless receiver to your pedalboard, then use a pair of SGI Stereo units to drive your stereo pedalboard output to remote guitar amplifiers and drive signals up to 300' without noise.

Radial Engineering SGI Stereo Passive Instrument Line Driver Receiver

Taking Radial Engineering's SGI system and enhancing it with a two-channel design, the SGI Stereo RX is the receiver module of the SGI Stereo system, providing stereo line driving for guitar pedals, pedalboards, and amp modelers. With the ability to receive balanced stereo signals up to 300' without loss or noise, this line driver is an ideal tool for stage or studio performances.

The SGI Stereo RX is loaded with premium Jensen transformers to ensure high-quality sound and a natural tone for off-stage amps and processors. The unit sports a locking RJ45 EtherCON input for balanced analog stereo audio and stereo Hi-Z outputs for feeding signals to amps or pedals. The Stereo SGI RX is completely passive and requires no power input.

A Stereo Line Extension of the SGI System

The SGI Stereo allows guitar players with stereo rigs to connect to dual amplifiers in remote locations on large stages or in studio amp rooms. Audio input on the receiver is via balanced analog etherCON, a reliable locking connector.

With the 180° polarity reverse on the left channel, you can correct signal cancellation that occurs from amplifiers wired out of phase. With the ground-lift switches, you can independently switch the left, right, or both channels to disconnect the audio ground path on the RJ45 input, reducing ground-loop hum.
