Overview
The USM 69 i mt studio condenser stereo microphone is ideal for XY and MS recording and boasts 5 selectable directional patterns for maximum versatility. Its amplifier section contains two microphone amplifiers that operate independently from each other with extremely low self-noise. Its capsule section features two completely separate microphone capsules with dual-diaphragms made of gold-sputtered polyester film. The upper capsule rotates against the lower one over a range of 270° to achieve an intensity stereo signal. Each microphone capsule can also be used as a completely independent mono microphone
It sports two built-in rotary switches to select the five polar patterns of both capsules at the microphone itself. A built-in DC converter generates the required capsule polarizing voltages.
