Introducing the next generation ceiling boxes, the CB-22+ Series. The entire line of boxes has been reimagined with exciting new features. The CB-22S+ Smart Ceiling Box is designed for classrooms, conference and meeting rooms supporting a projector and other AV equipment. This 2’x2’ enclosure has ample room for two full rack pieces of equipment or four half-rack pieces on the removable shelf. The 2-RU rack rails are repositionable allowing flexibility when positioning your equipment. The unit includes an external AC receptacle and a switch/circuit breaker on the ceiling surface, and five AC outlets ergonomically spaced to allow room for wall warts inside the enclosure.The locking access door has a white trim ring, similar to the ceiling grid, that can now hold an optional decorative metal plate or ceiling tile.

The CB-22S+ ceilng boxes provides one projector outlet facing the room and 2 un-switched and 3 switched ergonomically spaced AC outlets inside the box. Models CB-22S+ and CB-22SP+ will include a factory-installed low-noise fan kit with a temperature-controlled variable speed to provide equipment cooling. The CB-22S+ and CB-22SP+ are “Smart Enclosures” that feature built-in projector state auto-sense, which senses the power state of the projector to turn off remaining receptacles when the projector is turned off, thereby eliminating parasitic power consumption. It also includes two monitored unswitched outlets, one on the surface of the ceiling for projector power. The main switch/circuit breaker and four switched AC outlets are spaced to allow room for power adapters. As an option, the receptacles can also be triggered by a low-voltage contact closure.

The CB-22+ interior is upgraded with a larger mounting shelf eliminating spatial issues and low-voltage access plates with brushes on the exterior of the ceiling box. The enclosures now have integrated threaded rod mounts to provide an easy installation, no longer needing a threaded rod kit. A larger removable dual-tilting equipment shelf with repositionable 2-RU rack rails will facilitate ease of access and visibility. The new secured keyed cam lock access door provides security and easy access to the equipment in the box. 

The optional SG-120HW is a “Type 2 Surge Protective Device” used to protect branch circuits against damage from electrical transients occurring on the AC line. It provides protection against transients in all 3 modes; Line to Line, Line to Neutral, and Neutral to Ground. A diagnostic LED indicates ground presence, system power and that surge protection is active.
