Overview

The Dual Tech Wall Switch Sensor (OWS-DT) is a linepowered, wall mount, dual technology occupancysensor with integrated wall switch that communicateswirelessly to Echoflex controllers. The OWS-DT-UW-120/277 is a no-neutral conductor powereddevice connecting to line voltage and earth ground.

The OWS-DT-UW-BTY is powered by a long shelf lifebattery.The OWS-DT sensor is designed to simplify thecontrol needs for small office spaces, boardroomsor other small enclosed spaces which require a wallswitch and occupancy sensor. The integral dimmingswitch provides occupants with the necessary manualcontrol of their lights.

The OWS fits well in applications where energy codesrequire the lights to be manually turned ON andautomatically OFF with vacancy. The combinationof PIR sensor and audio sensing ensures positiveoccupant detection. Passive microphone technologyprovides full coverage of audible human activityacross the entire PIR detection range. Innovative noisefiltering is used to prevent false triggers that keeplights on in empty rooms. When used with EchoflexSolution’s dimming lighting controllers, the switchalso provides manual dimming control of the lights.Echoflex controlled receptacles can be automatedwith the OWS so plug loads operate ON and OFFwith the current occupancy state.

The OWS-DT provides 180 lateral degrees of coverageideal for installation in small offices and boardrooms.Both models are installed in new or existing electricalwall boxes. The OWS-DT-UW-120/277 is connectedto 120V or 277V line voltage and earth ground, anddoes not rely on the neutral conductor being present.The OWS-DT is CEC Title 24 compliant and a keycomponent in Echoflex’s energy saving solutions.
