The elegant design of the Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera packs an incredible number of high end digital film features into a miniaturized, handheld design. Made from lightweight carbon fiber polycarbonate composite, the camera features a multifunction handgrip with all controls for recording, ISO, WB and shutter angle right at your fingertips. Because it's an advanced digital film camera, the sensor is designed to reduce thermal noise allowing cleaner shadows and higher ISO. Plus the large 5 inch LCD makes it possible to get perfect focus at 4K and 6K resolutions. The 6K models have a native resolution of 6144 x 3456. The lens is resistant to rain, sand, and dust thanks to the internal seals on strategic places. Take it with you on your next adventure in the desert or the jungle, if your camera can handle those environments.

Engraved markings on the lens have been filled with UV Light-reactive paint, which makes filming in difficult lighting conditions much easier. All you'll need is a small UV Blacklight instead of a bright flashlight.

Our own Magnetic Mount System (MMS) for rapid filter and hood placements are just one example of the multifunctional design of our lenses. 

We also invented the adaptive ring on our lenses to be able to maintain their sleek design and still allow you to use wider follow focus systems

All Irix Cine lenses (except the 11mm and 21mm) have a Magnetic Mount System (MMS) that is compatible with our Irix Edge MMS filters and Irix MMS Lens Hoods. The Irix Edge magnetic filters have a unique thread-less and stackable design.

All of the Irix Edge MMS filters are made of hardened optical glass (SR) making them extremely robust. The filters' surfaces are covered with the multi-layer, anti-reflective coating with a special type nano-coating that makes it easy to clean.

Available types of Irix Edge MMS filters: UV, CPL, ND4, ND8, ND16, ND32 and ND64.

We know how important a smooth workflow is. That is why all Irix cine lenses have similar dimensions and weight and their gears are all lined up at the same heights, allowing for quick and easy lens changes when working on set.
