Flipping the AH speaker mounting bracket
Flipping the AH speaker mounting bracket, there are several ways you can mount a AH Horn speaker as indicated in the owner’s manual. If you are going to pole mount an AH speaker, we recommend that you flip or rotate the mounting bracket so that the support bracket center mounting hole is facing upward and the input signal terminal strip is facing downward. For the AH 8” and 12” models simply loosen the two end nuts and rotate the bracket. For the 15” models you will have to remove the bracket, flip or rotate the bracket so the center hole is facing upward, reconnect the bolt and nut.
Fender Washer
It is also suggested to add a 1⁄2” Fender washer placed between the AH support bracket center mounting hole and the nylock from the PoleStar support arm. You will have to provide the washer.
Safety Strap & Rubber Washer
Each speaker must havea safety strap or cable installed that completely bypasses the mounting system. Two straps per speaker will provide additional steering support that helps prevent speakers from rotating left to right in high winds. Pay special attention to the cable lengths for the AH model type and mounting configuration. For maximum flexibility with cable tension adjustment, we suggest purchasing a turnbuckle and a shackle. The PoleStar ® Support Arm comes with a rubber gasket that goes in between the arm and the Atlas Horn Yoke bracket to further prevent the speaker from rotating in high winds.
