Building upon the success of the original RMX-1000 released more than a decade ago, the RMX-IGNITE creates visually and sonically striking performances by using the levers and large knobs to intuitively control its array of effects. Captivate your audience by uniting sound and motion while making live remixes with the enhanced sampler section, which adds groove and expression to your samples with the latest Groove Roll feature.
3-Band FX Section
The RMX-IGNITE features a 3-Band FX section equipped with 2 types of effects: Lever FX, which instantly change sound to capture inspiration in the moment, and Isolate FX, which enable smooth and dynamic transformations. You can apply each to the high, mid, and low frequency bands independently, and freely combine up to 6 types of effects. With sub-parameter knobs for tonal adjustment, you can shape track progressions and deliver rich, expressive performances. The eye-catching action of pushing levers or turning large knobs not only alters the sound but also creates a visually impactful performance.
Lever FX: 3 large levers instantly apply effects for dramatic sound changes. Available effects include Echo, Reverb, Juggle, Reverse, Solo, and Stretch.
Isolate FX: 3 large knobs enable smooth and dynamic control. Available effects include Tape Echo, Reverb, Drive, Filter, Ducker, and Rhythm.
Lever FX
Echo: adds a clear delay sound to each range.
Reverb: adds reverb to each range.
Juggle: delays the sound for each range by 1/2 beat of the BPM.
Reverse: Outputs the sound in reverse for each range in 1-beat cycle of the BPM.
Solo: outputs only the range you use.
Stretch: outputs stretched sound for each range in 1-bar cycle of the BPM.
Isolate FX
Tape Echo: adds a delay with modulation and warmth to each range. (Operates as an isolator when turned to the left.)
Reverb: adds reverb while adjusting the volume of each range. (Operates as an isolator when turned to the left.)
Drive: adds a distortion effect while adjusting the volume of each range. (Operates as an isolator when turned to the left.)
Filter: outputs each range through a filter.
Ducker: adds an envelope to the sound of each range in 1-beat cycle of the BPM.
Rhythm: rearranges the sound of each range in a 1-bar cycle of the BPM.
Sampler Section
The RMX-IGNITE features a sampler section you can use to add new textures and creative possibilities to your performances. It also comes preloaded with 20 carefully selected samples from Loopcloud, a leading royalty-free sounds platform trusted by countless dance music producers worldwide. These samples allow you to instantly add unique rhythms and creative flair to your DJ performances—no preparation is needed. Using the dedicated RMX-IGNITE Sample Manager software, you can also export your own samples to a USB drive and insert it into the unit, or into a DJ player connected via a PRO DJ LINK network, and drop the sounds into your sets. Sample Trigger Pad: intuitive playback at your fingertips
The 4 sample trigger pads use durable materials and white LEDs for excellent visibility and playability, enabling intuitive triggering of samples. In Overdub mode, you can record and loop samples in 1-bar phrases, layering multiple sounds to build dynamic progressions within a track.
Sample Roll: create buildups and fills
Samples triggered with the pads can be rolled in 10 rhythmic patterns. The newly developed Groove Roll adds expressive variation—by pressing multiple sample roll buttons at once, you can generate accented, flowing rolls that bring more individuality and energy to your buildups.
Sampler Color FX: add depth and movement to samples
The sampler section features 6 dedicated effects (Echo, Space, Filter, Pitch, Decay, Swing), which are controllable with a single knob. These effects enable you to instantly transform your samples, adding depth, tension, or swing. And because these effects are independent from the 3-band FX section, you can process samples separately, further expanding the creative possibilities.
Release Echo
With one large button, you can instantly reset effects and samples you've applied, smoothly returning to the original track with an echo tail. Two modes are available to suit different situations; in Dry mode, the track naturally returns to its original state while keeping the musical flow, and, in Mute mode, the sound cuts out to create a break, adding dramatic variation before playback continues.
Multicolor Screen
The multicolor display lets you check key details such as 3-band FX sub-parameters, loaded samples, selected Sampler Color FX, BPM, and input/output levels. You can also browse and quickly select samples directly from the screen, enabling confident operation and full focus on your performance.
Pro DJ Link
By syncing BPM and grid information with tracks playing on CDJs and other DJ players, the RMX-IGNITE ensures accurate beat alignment when you're using roll and overdub. You can also load samples directly from USB drives or SD cards plugged into players connected via PRO DJ LINK.
Digital Send/Return
The RMX-IGNITE supports digital send/return connections with the DJM-A9 and DJM-V10 mixers. Simply connect a single USB cable to the MULTI I/O terminal on a compatible mixer for quick setup. Because the audio signal is transmitted digitally, you can deliver clear, powerful sound to your audience without compromising quality.
Professional Sound Design
The RMX-IGNITE features completely redesigned audio architecture that delivers significantly improved sound quality compared to the RMX-1000. As well as studio-quality 96 kHz/64-bit mixing DSP processing, the unit includes high-grade 32-bit A/D and D/A converters from ESS Technology on the input and output. Each audio component has been carefully selected and optimized, and the sound has been fine-tuned through extensive listening tests in real-world environments such as clubs. This results in a high-resolution, natural sound that remains true to the original source. Flat tuning preserves the character of the input sound, allowing you to apply detailed effects seamlessly without compromising the natural audio quality.
