Overview

The AJA Dante AV 4K-T transmitter and Dante AV 4K-R receiver utilize the Dante AV Ultra codec that enables cinema quality networked video to be used alongside the industry leading Dante audio-over-IP platform on standard 1 GigE IP networks for an easy to deploy, broadcast/proAV IP video solution.

Both devices support Dante AV Ultra signals up to 4K/UltraHD, with 12G-SDI and HDMI 2.0 inputs or outputs and are housed in a new robust and durable metal case. Dante AV provides ease-of-use, seamless multi-vendor interoperability, and an integrated control experience that customers have come to expect from AJA Video and Dante by Audinate.

HDR Support

The Dante AV 4K-T now supports popular HDR workflows - HDR HLG and PQ (HDMI: RGB and YUV - SDI: YUV only).

The Dante AV 4K-R is now capable of receiving HDR signals and outputting them to both HDMI and SDI outputs simultaneously. Video Output Control in the AJA control plug-in inside Audinate Dante Controller allows the user to choose between Auto, SDR, HLG, and PQ HDR formats.

Colorimetry can be set between Auto, BT.709 or BT.2020

Multi-Site, HDR Workflow with House Reference Integration

This workflow shows the deployment of 4K HDR cameras in an offsite location connected via a private network. The HDR video and audio signal is encoded to Dante AV Ultra and sent on the Eth 1 POE+ port while the Eth 2 port in the remote location connects to the Dante Network to oversee production and manage the Dante AV 4K-T settings.

The Dante AV Ultra HDR signal is decoded in the broadcast center and is time aligned by an AJA GEN10 providing house sync to the Dante AV 4K-R receivers, the Ki Pro Ultra 12G being used for video playback, and the UltraHD HDR switcher

Large Concert Workflow

Dante AV 4K-T and 4K-R transmitters and receivers expand your Dante audio live audio concert network to include Dante AV Ultra video. In this example, four 12G-SDI broadcast camera signals are going into the Dante network, and three Dante receivers are feeding the LED screens behind the stage. Scalability and flexibility are hallmarks of Dante AV Ultra. This workflow also demonstrates the KVM functionality of the Dante AV 4K-T and 4K-R transmitters and receivers.

Dante AV 4K-T Zoom Broadcast Workflow

The Dante AV 4K-T is the perfect bridge between a remote Zoom commentator and the production studio. This workflow shows a remote commentator interacting with the studio commentators, with low latency, AV Sync, and the cinematic quality of the Dante AV Ultra codec to add a remote perspective to any broadcast.
